We Moved!!

(Well, actually we moved almost 3 weeks ago...)

After what seemed like forever, between finding a space and negations, we were finally able to sign our lease and move in!

Once we moved in, thats when the fun really began. It was time to organize. I mean it felt like that show Hoarders. Clothes, boxes, racks, jewelry, tables - everything imaginable was everywhere. Where do we begin?

Three weeks later, everything has almost found its place. We are just so excited about this new chapter and so ready to bring you all the new arrivals we have been saving for the past month! ... Get ready ;)

Our First Year...

First off, I am sorry for the lack of post/new arrivals lately. We are currently working on a "special/exciting" project and we can not wait to share with you all!! 

I can't believe it's been a year since we first launched our site back in 2012! Time really does fly by! All I can say is this past year has a complete blessing. We have grown and learned so much. But more importantly, we have some of the best customers friends, ever ;) We couldn't have done it without you all!

Top Trends of 2012

I can't believe 2012 has already come to an end. Every year always seems to go by fast but I feel as if this past year went by extremely fast. 2012 had some really great fashion trends, which have been my favorite compared to previous years. Let's take a look back ....

Peplum.

At first I wasn't a fan of the Peplum trend but I have since changed my mind. It is one of the most flattering trends, I think, anyone could wear.  

Chevron. 

I admit ... I am completely OBSESSED with anything and everything chevron! I just love that chevron can come it any shape and size. It can make a great statement from: top, dress.. to scarf.

Trunk Show!

Sorry for the lack of posts lately, I just got back from New York (blog coming soon!) but prior to that we had our first ever Modern Ego trunk show!! We added a new twist to the"home parties"... everything you see at any of our trunk shows can be purchased and taken home with you the same day!! Yay for no more waiting for your items to arrive! Desk Obsession

Lately I have been loving desk designs. Simple, white desks are the ones that stick out to me the most. I love the simplicity and modern look they add to a room. Here are some of my favorite desk obsessions. 

I love the idea of having fresh flowers on your desk. 

Since the accessories are very minimal, you can get a way with a busy wall without the space feeling overdone.

Using a corner desk not in an actual corner can give you the chance to utilize wall space.

After seeing this ghost chair, I am not convinced I need one too! I need to make a trip to Ikea to get a ghost chair :)

Olympic Mania

For the past two weeks I have been glued to the TV... watching anything and everything Olympics! I especially love swimming, gymnastics and track. The most exciting part is that we saw history being made ... not once but twice!

First, Gabby Douglas is the first African-American to win gold in the women's all-around. Congrats Gabby!!

Then we saw Michael Phelps win his 22nd medal! Better watch out Michael, I think Missy will catch you!

Going for the Manicure

While our USA athletes are in London competing for the gold, I have seen some rather creative "Olympic" nail designs that deserve a gold medal! I'd like to think I am creative enough to try some out for myself, but truth is they would probably come out looking terrible. Here are some of my favorite designs!

Talk about creative and a very stead hand!
